Warehousing and Transportation Manager

As Warehousing & Transportation Manager for Ferrero Romania, you will oversee and administer end-to-end logistics activities , covering the physical flows from factories to customers. The scope includes warehouse , transport and co-packing operations , with a strong focus on service, cost, health and safety, quality, legal requirements and policy compliance.

In this role, you will implement the logistics strategy and ensure the effective execution of daily operations, balancing service level, cost effectiveness and operational reliability. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners, including the 3PL, carriers and specialized service providers, to ensure timely solutions and consistent execution.

You will be the key point of coordination for distribution center operations , inbound and outbound transportation flows, inventory accuracy , logistics cost control , reporting , performance KPIs , claims , pallets management , disposal activities and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on logistics leader with strong process discipline, stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive performance through facts, routines and collaboration.

3PL and distribution center management

Lead the day-to-day relationship with Ferrero's logistics provider, ensuring warehouse and distribution operations are executed efficiently, reliably and in line with agreed service levels. You will coordinate activities across warehousing, planning and transportation, translating business requirements into effective operational execution while ensuring procedures are properly implemented and continuously improved.

Inventory management

Ensure full visibility and accuracy of product flows across the supply chain. From managing goods movements in SAP to performing stock reconciliations and resolving discrepancies, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting informed business decisions.

Transportation management – outbound

Oversee outbound distribution activities to ensure products reach customers on time and in full. By closely monitoring service performance, operational criticalities, stock availability and transportation costs, you will help deliver seamless customer experience while optimizing logistics performance.

Transportation management – inbound

Coordinate inbound product flows from Ferrero manufacturing sites into Romania, ensuring accurate execution, regulatory compliance and timely issue resolution. Acting as a key point of contact with Ferrero factories, you will ensure supply continuity and smooth operational execution.

Cost control, budget and contract management

Contribute to the financial performance of the logistics function through effective budget control, cost monitoring and contract management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, supporting sourcing activities and providing operational expertise for logistics tenders and service evaluations.

Warehouse quality, compliance and governance

Support the highest standards of quality, compliance and operational governance by coordinating audits, monitoring corrective actions and ensuring adherence to Ferrero policies, regulatory requirements and control frameworks.

Reporting, KPIs and operational excellence

Transform operational data into meaningful insights. Through performance analysis, KPI monitoring and reporting, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, challenge existing ways of working and contribute to the continuous development of Ferrero's logistics operations.

Claims, pallets, disposal and co-packing

Manage a range of critical logistics activities, including claims, pallet reconciliation, disposal operations and co-packing processes. Working across multiple functions and external partners, you will ensure accurate execution, strong controls and compliance with Ferrero guidelines.

You bring relevant experience ( between 4-7 years ) in logistics, warehousing, transportation or supply chain operations, combined with a strong understanding of warehouse management, transport flows, inventory control and 3PL governance.

You are comfortable working with SAP , KPIs and operational reporting , using data to drive decisions and identifying opportunities for improvement. You thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple priorities while building strong partnerships across functions and external stakeholders.

Success in this role means delivering reliable logistics execution, maintaining high inventory accuracy, ensuring effective 3PL governance and continuously improving warehouse, transportation and co-packing operations while upholding Ferrero's quality and compliance standards.

Working at the crossroads of the supply chain, you will partner closely with Planning, Customer Service, Quality, Procurement and Transport teams, as well as logistics providers, carriers, authorities and other external partners to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
