Accounting Intern

As part of our Booking Holdings Romania team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the world's leading provider of online travel, with a mission of making it easier for everyone to experience the world through five-primary consumer facing brands: Booking.com, Priceline, Agoda, KAYAK and OpenTable.

This role provides a determined contract of 6 months, a working schedule of 4 hours/day and a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.

Role description

The Accounting Intern supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of transactional data. Success in this role is defined by the timely completion of reconciliations and the proactive identification of accounting discrepancies. This position exists to provide essential operational support to the Center of Excellence while offering the intern foundational exposure to global corporate accounting practices.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepares documentation for monthly balance sheet reconciliations under the guidance of Senior Accountants to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

• Assists with the processing of accounts payable and T&E transactions in alignment with company policy.

• Supports the month-end closing process by gathering supporting documentation for operational flows.

• Collaborates with the wider Finance team to extract and analyze data from the ERP system for ad-hoc financial reports.

• Maintains organized digital archives of financial records.
