British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Accounting Analyst in Bucharest .

The position will be within GBS ENA, the Global Treasury Operations team. The person who holds this position is subordinate to the Financial Manager and indirectly to the Central Treasury Department and will be responsible for the provision of accounting and treasury control services at Group level. The post holder will work under high pressure, having to cover several time zones.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out the monthly treasury activities of all financial instruments - the calculation and accounting of: the currency impact associated with them, both the unrealized and realized / accrued interests (accruals) for all relevant financial instruments / the depreciation of financial instruments / hedge accounting / other ad hoc requests;
• Monthly reconciliation of internal balances and detection of possible differences (intercompany mismatches);
• Supporting the implementation of changes to the accounting systems of the treasury in accordance with the changes made to IFRS;
• Carrying out Blackline reconciliations of assigned accounts, in full and on time, according to the GRF (Global Reconciliation Framework) calendar and ensures the performance/operation of SOX controls and non-SoX controls related to the accounting activity, performing controls on time and completely and saving records according to SoX requirements;
• Prepares and submits derivative transaction reports, complete, correct and on time according to the regulations in force (eg: EMIR);
• Processing of accounting and reversal instructions of treasury/OBO items and manual payment requests (PRF) received from the Treasury (Settlement/Accounting) team, GL team, IGT team and BAT BUs (BAT End Markets) in the SAP IHC module;
• Generating internal bank statements and sending them to BAT BUs (End Markets) according to ad-hoc requests;
• Closing the IHC module and generating internal bank statements in the SAP FI module, ensuring that all system errors are resolved on time;
• Clearing of technical / transfer / analytical (shadow) / zero balance (ZBA) accounts of external and internal banks;
• Provision of open items reports related to bank accounts (Treasury / OBO) according to the schedule established with the Treasury Dealing team and the Center Liquidity and FX team.

What are we looking for?

• Basic double-entry book-keeping and accounting knowledge;
• Degree qualified or equivalent necessary;
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks;
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure;
• Understanding of SAP.
