Senior Actuary

You are invited to take a senior Non-Life Pricing Actuary role with our client, joining a Romanian operation that is building a lean, agile team to grow a sustainable and competitive portfolio. In this hybrid role, you will shape pricing strategies, develop and maintain pricing models, and evaluate portfolio profitability for the Romanian market. You will work closely with underwriting, distribution, claims, and data partners, as well as international teams in Greece, to balance risk, value, and competitive positioning.
What you will do
- Develop, implement, and maintain actuarial pricing models for non-life insurance products
- Apply advanced techniques for premium calculation, risk classification, and pricing optimization
- Ensure appropriate risk segmentation and tariff adequacy
- Evaluate profitability drivers, risk exposure, and underwriting criteria, deductibles, commissions, and reinsurance structures
- Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, and combined ratios; identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide actuarial inputs to business planning, financial forecasting, and scenario analyses
- Support product development and cross-functional projects with pricing insights
- Prepare governance-compliant documentation for internal reporting and ASF-related requirements
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external partners, and support audits
You will gain exposure to international expansion and have a meaningful influence on pricing strategy for a growing market. The role is based in a hybrid setup in Bucharest, Romania.
