For our client, a major renewable energy group that covers the full spectrum of wind, solar, and battery storage projects, we are looking for a Commercial & Data Center Monetization Expert to join a team responsible for developing the commercial strategy and monetization model for data center and compute services.

Combining commercial strategy, pricing, financial modelling, revenue management and usage-based billing, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical and operational data into commercially sustainable decisions;
Monitoring the compute market and competitor pricing, and updating quarterly competitive analyses;
Building and maintaining the service cost and margin model, including full cost per GPU-hour, minimum pricing thresholds and target margins by contract type;
Identifying and developing new revenue streams and pricing structures, supported by clear economic rationale;
Proposing pricing models, discount frameworks and commercial offer structures to divisional management, and analyzing results following implementation;
Developing the commercial rationale for non-standard transactions and defining approval thresholds and escalation requirements;
Aligning commercial structures with the equipment lifecycle, including contract duration, depreciation horizon and the technological relevance of the equipment generation being commercialized;
Balancing long-term committed capacity with capacity available to address immediate customer demand;
Developing the economic rationale for equipment investment, renewal and retirement decisions based on marginal revenue, total cost and residual value;
Designing the consumption measurement and billing framework, including pricing rules, price plans and validation controls, without being responsible for day-to-day operational billing;
Conducting periodic audits of commercial and monetization activities;
Preparing monthly revenue, utilization and margin reporting, as well as forecasts and business insights for management;
Documenting pricing rules, discount approval frameworks and revenue recognition principles;
Collaborating with Finance, Sales, Operations, IT and technical teams to ensure alignment between commercial models and service delivery capabilities.

Cerințe

University degree in Economics, Finance, Economic Engineering or a related field;
Minimum 3 years of experience in FinOps, commercial analysis, pricing, revenue operations, revenue assurance or billing operations;
Proven experience in building a cost or margin model from scratch and presenting commercially relevant recommendations to management;
Experience with usage-based billing and consumption measurement/pricing systems, ideally within cloud, SaaS, hosting or telecommunications environments;
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, cost analysis and margin modelling;
Autonomous working knowledge of SQL or an equivalent data-querying tool;
Understanding asset economics, including depreciation, Total Cost of Ownership, payback period and residual value;
Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and compute services, sufficient for working directly with usage data provided by technical teams;
Experience with Power BI, Grafana or similar reporting and visualization tools is considered an advantage;
Previous experience in capital-intensive industries where asset lifecycle influences commercial conditions, such as data centers, telecommunications, energy or leasing, is considered an advantage;
Advanced English language skills, both written and spoken.
