Research & Outreach Specialist (B2B Partnerships, PR)

Job overview
Find the right publications, blogs, newsletters, social media personalities, and collaborators that fit our messaging and reach our audience, then run outreach to land guest posts, features, backlinks, and partnerships. This is a research-and-relationships role, not a technical SEO role.

Key responsibility 

Research & Market Intelligence  

• Conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, competitors, AI trends, publications, communities, influencers, analysts, and technology ecosystems.

• Identify partnership, collaboration, sponsorship, and business development opportunities.

• Build and maintain high-quality prospect databases using CRM and research tools.

• Monitor competitor activities, emerging technologies, and market trends to uncover growth opportunities.

• Research speaking opportunities, conferences, webinars, podcasts, and industry events.

Outreach & Relationship Management  

• Execute personalized email, LinkedIn, and multi-channel outreach campaigns.

• Build and nurture relationships with founders, executives, partners, influencers, journalists, editors, analysts, customers, and community leaders.

• Manage outreach campaigns from prospecting through follow-ups and relationship development.

• Coordinate meetings, partnership discussions, and follow-up activities.

• Maintain accurate CRM records and outreach documentation.

Media, Publications & Public Relations  

• Research and identify relevant Tier-1, Tier-2, and niche B2B publications, technology blogs, AI websites, newsletters, podcasts, and media outlets across the US.

• Build relationships with editors, journalists, contributors, publishers, and media partners.

• Pitch guest articles, thought leadership content, executive interviews, case studies, press releases, and company announcements.

• Coordinate the end-to-end publication process, including outreach, follow-ups, content submission, approvals, and publication tracking.

• Identify opportunities for podcast appearances, webinars, panel discussions, awards, and speaking engagements.

• Track media coverage, publication performance, and earned media opportunities.

Partnerships & Community Development  

• Identify and develop partnerships with AI communities, developer communities, SaaS platforms, industry associations, and technology organizations.

• Research opportunities to list company products, tools, SDKs, APIs, and services on relevant directories, marketplaces, review platforms, and industry websites.

• Build relationships with newsletter publishers, community managers, influencers, and ecosystem partners.

• Support co-marketing initiatives, strategic partnerships, and collaborative campaigns.

• Engage with relevant online communities across LinkedIn, Reddit, Slack, Discord, GitHub, Hacker News, Product Hunt, and other professional platforms.

Performance & Reporting  

• Track outreach KPIs including response rates, meetings booked, partnerships initiated, publication placements, and engagement metrics.

• Maintain dashboards and reports on outreach performance and partnership activities.

• Continuously optimize outreach strategies through testing and data-driven insights.
