Document Controller with German

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Document Controller, you are responsible within a project for the documentation handling, for the workflow, timeline and record keeping of electronic and hard copy documents and align with contractual, legal and business regulations.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Understanding customer requirements for document control and ensuring documents meet all standards. Supporting the team by uploading documentation into internal documentation systems.
• Tracking the status of documents and review sheets; notifying and reminding project staff to meet documentation terms.
• Supervising that documents related to a payment milestone are provided to and accepted by the client, and flagging critical documents to the sub-Project Manager. Identifying and numbering documents that come into the business.
• Using an electronic document management system to index, store and retrieve a wide variety of document types. Reviewing documents, checking they align with regulations, creating revisions and archiving outdated versions.
• Distributing documents to the relevant people, departments or organizations, and letting them know when they need to take action on a document as part of a process.
• Generating master document templates and forms, and training employees how to use them. Preparing and updating document control procedures for the company. Making sure that departments are following the accurate procedures in the document flow process.
• Prepare monthly reports on the assigned work packages for internal reporting.
• Build strong working relationships with sub- Project Managers and Engineers

What You Bring

• Knowledge on project management methods.
• Willingness to participate to business success and satisfaction of the customer.
• Extensive knowledge in dealing with MS Office applications and PM tools.
• Proficient communication in English and in German.
• Intercultural experience is ideal as well as availability to go on business trips.
