Junior DevOps Engineer @MarshTech

We are seeking a talented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our global DevOps team , part of Marsh. This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

The DevOps team supports the build and deployment pipelines used by a wide range of applications across the organization. In this role, you will focus on onboarding and migrating applications to standardized CI/CD pipelines, maintaining pipeline configurations and resolving deployment-related issues. The position focuses on pipeline support rather than application development or coding.

We will count on you to:

• Support the onboarding and migration of applications to standardized CI/CD pipelines.

• Configure and maintain application pipelines and support automated build and deployment processes.

• Support containerized application builds using Docker and deployments to Kubernetes environments.

• Monitor incident and service-request queues and troubleshoot issues arising throughout the CI/CD process.

• Collaborate with application and development teams to support efficient deployments and communicate progress or technical issues.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of the team’s deployment tools, processes and procedures.

What you need to have:

• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps, CI/CD, application support, cloud support, infrastructure support or a related technical area.

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD concepts and initial hands-on experience with application build and deployment pipelines.

• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Linux environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, together with a good command of written and spoken English.

What makes you stand out:

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar technologies.

• Previous exposure to onboarding or migrating applications between pipelines and using incident-management tools such as ServiceNow.

• Basic scripting knowledge and experience working within a global or cross-functional technical team.

• Experience with cloud native technologies, preferably AWS or Azure

• Working knowledge of Groovy, PowerShell and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub

• Good knowledge of NodeJS, Angular Builds, NPM, .Net and .Net Core
