Project Manager Technical Planning Manufacturing & Assembly (w/m/d) - Bilstein

Your responsibilities

Process Development

. Responsible for planning manufacturing concepts and production processes

. Analyzing component functions and product requirements to define the production sequence (value stream, process flow)

. Defining suitable production systems and equipment

. Defining the process layout in coordination with local functions and taking the plant layout into account

. Responsible for compliance with planned production / process KPIs

Project Management

. Responsible for creating and maintaining schedules and action lists throughout the industrialization of production processes

. Overall schedule for production equipment

. Sub-schedules for each investment, including task packages for specialist departments

. Responsible for planning and monitoring the investment budget for equipment and tools approved by management

. Planning and requesting individual investment budgets

. Providing functional leadership to process experts (TPZ) in the procurement, installation and commissioning of new systems and production equipment for the project

. Participating in supplier selection

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

. Planning and managing the Process FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for the project

. Defining the PFMEA team

. Defining and evaluating suitable risk prevention measures

. Capturing and transferring lessons learned and technical findings

. Supporting the development, installation / commissioning and acceptance of production equipment

Your Profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable role within a production environment.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, industrialization, and process development.

• Experience in defining production concepts, process flows, value streams, and manufacturing layouts.

• Solid expertise in production equipment industrialization, from supplier selection and procurement to installation and commissioning.

• Hands-on experience with PFMEA, risk management, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and drive results in an international environment.
