Junior Physical Security Specialist @Bitdefender

Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Physical Security Specialist to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of physical security measures across our facilities. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience who wants to grow in a structured security environment.
You will help ensure the protection of people, assets, and infrastructure by applying physical security controls, supporting incident response, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, Facilities, H&S, etc.).

Key Responsibilities
Physical Security Operations
Monitor and maintain physical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.).
Support daily security operations across offices/sites.
Conduct routine security checks and audits of facilities.
Assist in managing access rights and badge systems.

Risk & Compliance
Support physical security risk assessments.
Help identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation measures.
Ensure applicable control execution according with internal policies and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA)
Maintain documentation (procedures, incident logs, audit trails).

Incident Management
Respond to physical security incidents (unauthorized access, theft, etc.).
Assist in investigations and evidence collection (e.g., CCTV review).
Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.

Collaboration & Coordination
Work with:
IT Security (for integrated security systems).
Facilities (building infrastructure, vendors).
Health & Safety teams.
Coordinate with external vendors (security guards, system providers).

Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in:
Physical security / corporate security / facilities security.
(or strong internship/entry-level experience for junior candidates).
Basic understanding of:
Access control systems.
CCTV systems.
Physical security principles (layered security, deterrence, detection, response).
Familiarity with security standards is a plus:
ISO 27001 / HIPAA (nice to have).

Technical Skills
Experience with security systems (e.g., Centaur, Lenel, Honeywell, Genetec or similar – nice to have).
Basic IT literacy (network basics, helpful for modern security systems).
Ability to analyze logs, reports, and incidents.

Soft Skills
Strongattention to detail.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work under pressure during incidents.
Team player with a proactive mindset.
