Role overview

As a Statutory Senior Accountant, you will manage statutory accounting activities for the Romanian legal entity, ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.

The role offers exposure to statutory reporting, month-end closing, audit activities, and collaboration with international finance teams in a dynamic corporate environment.

Mandatory skills

•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration

•At least 5 years of experience in Finance, preferably Statutory Finance.

•Knowledge of SAP

•Fluent in English

•Comfortable working with advanced Excel templates and formula

•External Share services providers working experience

•Knowledge of using AI tools will be a plus

•Manage legal entity Statutory monthly closing: close customs’ accounts, perform statutory closing of projects, perform remeasurement; check accuracy and compliance of the statutory Trial Balance after other closing processes are done by Genpact Share service

•Performs monthly tax declarations: D390 VIES, D934 for vendors, D100 for CIT and WTH; ensure their reconciliation with VAT D300, declaration prepared by other VAT Function. Support with RO-e-TVA mismatch

•Submission of SAF-T monthly declaration (and at request declaration), adjusting manually the automated SAP reporting file as needed for submission. Support SAP technical team for any update or modification to be implemented, test it

•Submission of statistical declaration and fillings to Nat. Bank of Romania (ISD, STA)

•Prepare on time annual CIT D101 declaration and coordinate with PWC for its validation; submitting other annual declaration: Sponsorship, WHT, CbCR

•Collects and follows Fiscal Certificate residency where applicable, calculate WHT based on DTT by Country

•Performs payments flows for different type of taxes in the company’s tool

•Quarterly perform quality accounts reconciliations for FI Stat&Tax GLs (VAT and other taxes) using company’s specific tool

•Analyze after semester closing, BIK from T&L for per-diem limit tax verification and send for payment additional sum for taxation to HR

•Perform the annual statutory audit, preparing in SAP all necessary Statutory adjustments not done already during the year (BDR, CTC, leasing, deferred tax, FAR) reclasses and any other manual adjustments for stat compliance

•Prepare and submit on time all the supporting documentation requested in the PBC by the Stat Auditors, including payroll reconciliation with salary summary provided by services provider (BDO), using the company’s specific tool, partner with necessary functions to collect the data

•Prepare the Statutory financial statements in xls, word and pdf with necessary annex

•Prepare annually, after the audit, the reconciliation between Statutory Accounts and US GAAP Accounts (S2G walk) and upload necessary adjustments in company’s dedicated tool SHFM

•Coordinate Internal audit works (mandatory only at certain thresholds), provide Stat & Tax data when required, in case of Tax Inspections, and ensure all responsible parties provide necessary input

•Obtain at request tax certificates for Tenders/A1- check and reconciliate tax liabilities list with ANAF • Other compliance and governance activities: mapping SAP Alternative accounts; support for TP data collection only at request, equity compliance

•Oversee the business overall processes from stat&tax compliance perspective (recharges, specific projects, legislation change-acc. & tax impacts) and flag any issue or concern

•Ensure compliance with local stat & GEV rules. Facilitate implementations of new rules and tools impacting stat finance reporting; drive accuracy of stat finance processes and accounting
