Strategic Portfolio Management - Finance Specialist

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will support the Finance Lead for Strategic Portfolio Management in driving finance integration and partnering activities for acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives.

You will help coordinate integration projects, track milestones, analyze financial information, prepare management presentations, and support the implementation of Siemens Energy finance governance standards across newly acquired entities. You will work closely with colleagues from Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Controlling, HR, IT, and external partners while gaining exposure to M&A, finance transformation, and strategic portfolio management.

No two days are alike, one day you may support an integration workshop, and the next you may analyze synergy assumptions, prepare project status reports, or coordinate Day 1 readiness activities.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support finance integration programs by developing and maintaining integration roadmaps and master plans, tracking Day 1, Day 100, and end-state milestones, and monitoring risks, dependencies, action items, and escalations.
• Coordinate integration activities across global Finance, Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and operational teams, facilitating communication between acquired entities and Siemens Energy functional experts.
• Assist in evaluating acquisition business cases, strategic partnerships, financial models, synergy realization, value creation initiatives, and financial performance analyses to support management decision-making
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy financial policies, internal controls, IFRS requirements, and governance standards, including documentation and monitoring throughout the integration lifecycle.
• Support finance data migration into Siemens Energy reporting and ERP systems, including charts of accounts mapping, reporting structures, master data management, data quality monitoring, and standardization initiatives.
• Prepare and coordinate workstream meetings, leadership reviews, steering committee materials, executive presentations, project dashboards, action trackers, progress reports, and concise management recommendations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Professional experience in controlling, accounting, financial reporting, project management, or consulting, with a solid understanding of finance processes and financial statements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, Power BI, or other data analytics tools is considered an advantage.
• Interest in digitalization, process improvement, M&A activities, and finance transformation, supported by curiosity, a proactive learning attitude, and a growth mindset.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with fluent English, an international mindset, and the ability to work effectively with global teams.
