Summary:

We are looking for experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architects to support our Technology and Innovation Project Portfolio, Service developments and shape our future Technology roadmap within Google Cloud technical architecture domain.

The Role:

As an IT Architecture Expert, you have the chance to shape and contribute to the overall SAP Private Cloud Services strategy, delivered to our customers via the RISE with SAP offering. You will execute hands-on technical engineering exercises to drive Portfolio and Service enablement and consult Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Infrastructure Architectural activities based on direct customer communication. Due to the central nature of the team, you will have many touchpoints throughout the GCO organisation. Good collaboration skills are essential, as you will be a key contributor in nurturing the technological progress in SAP.

What you’ll bring

Possessing an expert grasp of Cloud Infrastructure, with an excellent conceptual understanding of diverse deployment models and a clear understanding of cloud architectural concepts, you will be capable of crafting zonal, regional, and other high-availability architectures. Your excellent technical architectural knowledge extends to the intricacies of Linux, and many other supporting technologies which can be demonstrated. Direct customer exposure and communication skills experience are highly deserved to bring the results.

Extended experience in SAP applications running on SAP-supported databases within cloud infrastructure.

• Deep Infrastructure knowledge of public clouds such as Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud or preferably in GCP area underlined with professional level certification and credentials.
• Knowledge on differing types of cloud infrastructure services (Most importantly: compute, storage, network, security), and how they are typically integrated.
• Methodological and technical expertise in new cloud platform onboarding and software development cycle is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge encompassing all aspects.
• Preferred – extensive Automation related background and experience in Development Projects and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SAP system architecture and database integration within complex SAP landscapes is a plus.
• Experience with cloud adoption and AI-driven operational practices, AI Ops concepts and general advocacy towards AI adoption and transformation preferred.
• Professional level fluency in both written and verbal English language.

You will engage closely with Hyperscaler Engineering teams to drive leading edge technology projects that empower our customers with the latest innovations. Your role involves shaping the Technical Roadmap to meet industry vertical requirements, guiding development and execution strategies. Understand how we drive Private Cloud services in ECS through our automation tool chain and help to support the development of this tool chain to meet our growing customer needs.
