Founding Engineer

Salary: 15.000 - 20.000 RON net per month Requirements:

• 4+ years building production software.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience.
• Excellent understanding of modern JavaScript and frontend architecture.
• Solid PostgreSQL and SQL skills.
• Experience building full-stack applications from database to UI.
• Strong software design and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Nice to have:
• - Experience with Supabase.
• - Experience working on B2B SaaS products.
• - Experience with AI-assisted software development.
• - Experience improving existing codebases rather than only building greenfield applications.
• - Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines, testing and deployment workflows.
• - An interest in cybersecurity.

• Be the first engineering hire and take ownership of the product and platform (not just contribute code).
• Take ownership of Picaris existing React, TypeScript and Supabase codebase.
• Design and build new features across the entire stack.
• Improve and refactor existing code into clean, maintainable, production-ready software.
• Design database schemas, APIs and backend services using PostgreSQL and Supabase.
• Make architectural decisions that balance speed, quality and scalability.
• Work closely with the founders to turn customer feedback into product improvements.
• Establish engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, CI/CD and documentation.
• Improve application performance, reliability and security.
• Help shape the future engineering culture and hiring as the team grows.

- Company: Picari is building the platform where security teams discover, evaluate and choose cybersecurity software. The product helps security teams discover relevant vendors, compare solutions, build shortlists and run structured evaluations before engaging with sales.
- Stage: Early-stage, venture-backed startup based in Ireland. Initial platform built and customers are using it.
- Work context: You will work directly with the founders every day with autonomy to make technical decisions and influence product direction.
