Graduate Trainee - Corporate Tax

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Graduate Trainee within the Siemens Energy Tax & Customs HUB in Romania, you will support the Corporate Tax team in day‑to‑day compliance and data‑related activities. The role focuses on WHT reporting and data management, giving you hands‑on experience with tax processes, digital tools, and operational workflows.

It’s a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate with a basic understanding of accounting or tax concepts, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with tools like Excel.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Assist in the preparation and processing of withholding tax documentation and certificates for various jurisdictions.
• Support the timely preparation and filing of WHT returns and related compliance reports.
• Perform reconciliation of WHT accounts to identify and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to basic queries from internal stakeholders regarding WHT processes and required documentation.
• Maintain and update tax-relevant master data in financial systems (e.g., SAP).
• Collect, validate, and structure financial data required for tax calculations and reporting.
• Support the team in documenting existing workflows and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Assist with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests for the tax team.

What You Bring

• Bacherlor’s or Master’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Fnance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op roles in a finance or accounting environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles and/or tax concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic Excel knowledge (formulas, pivot tables)
• Fluent in English
