DevOps Engineer

About the role

First, this role is part of IT Delivery within the Private Individuals unit focused on Cards area squads.

The mission of the PI Delivery Unit is to enable our Business strategy of Building a digital bank with a human touch.

Particularly, the Cards area targets the development and maintenance of solid, secure and up-to-date end2end solutions for cards related functionalities (both issuing and acquiring) used by our customers. We aim to offer our customers stress free daily banking through accessible features,  fast&safe payments and easy to use digital solutions and apps.  

As a DevOps Engineer & Service Manager , you will play a key role in both technical delivery and service management , ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance of our banking applications (on-prem and cloud), in order to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers. You will contribute to the support, monitoring, automation, continuous improvement and governance of services , while acting as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. As an IT DevOps Engineer , you will help us in providing the highest quality full-stack management solution for our banking applications.

What You Will Do

DevOps & Technical Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for cards-related banking applications.

• Investigate and resolve incidents; perform root cause analysis and deliver resolution packs.

• Manage incident and problem management activities.

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade infrastructure and applications (on-prem and cloud).

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to improve delivery efficiency.

• Monitor applications using logging, alerting, and observability tools.

• Perform patching and vulnerability remediation activities.

• Provide deployment support across environments (Test, Pre-live).

⚙️ Service Management Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Act as single point of contact for service and application management topics.

• Manage Service Level Management (SLA, OLA, UC) and ensure compliance.

• Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes, including escalations.

• Define and manage release and change policies, including planning and approvals.

• Ensure IT Service Continuity, quality standards, and IT controls.

• Monitor application performance, availability, and capacity.

• Manage external providers and vendors to ensure service delivery.

• Drive continuous service improvement aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate closely with Delivery Manager/Delivery Lead and stakeholders (Audit, Security, Regulators, Management

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with development, QA, and business teams in Agile environments.

Support regulatory and audit activities (e.g., vulnerability fixes, access management, configuration updates).
