Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality standards.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and experience working with ERP systems .
- Intermediate level of English ; knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in the wire harness or cable manufacturing industry is considered a strong advantage.
As a Process Engineer , you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes while supporting new product launches, production transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define manufacturing operations and production resources for assigned processes.
- Design and optimize production workflows according to product requirements.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings within the ERP system.
- Lead the implementation of engineering changes and new product introductions.
- Implement and monitor Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Visual Management, and Process Standardization .
- Analyze production KPIs including productivity, cycle time, defect rate, OEE, and changeover time, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Why, Ishikawa Diagram, and Cause-and-Effect Analysis .
- Calculate the resources required for new projects, including manpower and production equipment.
- Coordinate and support production transfer projects.
- Monitor process performance and propose improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing labor and material costs, and enhancing product quality.
- Develop, validate, and industrialize new manufacturing processes before serial production.
- Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process standards, and internal procedures.
- Supervise production processes and identify potential risks related to product quality, operator safety, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and R&D to ensure successful project implementation.
