Operations Manager @Continental

The Operations Manager acts as a key support for the Location Lead, ensuring governance, execution, stakeholder coordination, transformation follow-up, and employee integration across the ContiTech Timisoara Business Center.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Model & Governance

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the local operating model for the Business Hub.
• Establish governance structures, decision rights, and escalation mechanisms.
• Clarify and coordinate matrix reporting lines across GBS, business functions, and local support functions.
• Support in operational governance, KPI tracking, reporting, and communication.

Ramp-up & Workforce Integration

• Structure and coordinate the site ramp-up and workforce growth.
• Ensure effective onboarding and integration of new employees and teams.
• Act as a key interface where no local supervisor is available.
• Align workforce growth with business and functional requirements.

Transformation & Change Management

• Drive site-wide transformation and change initiatives.
• Lead communication, stakeholder engagement, and adoption activities.
• Support the cultural integration of GBS, Business Hub, and Central Functions.
• Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.

PMO, Performance Management & Reporting

• Manage the site transformation roadmap, priorities, and milestones.
• Establish KPI frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and performance tracking.
• Prepare management updates and decision-making materials for the Location Lead and key stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and drive execution of location-wide initiatives.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

• Act as an additional point of contact for Business Hub functions besides the Location Lead.
• Coordinate activities with global GBS leadership, business function leaders, and local support functions.
• Manage interfaces with a large international stakeholder network, including remote managers and functional leaders.
• Serve as a central connector across functions, locations, and leadership teams.

Employee Experience, Talent & Engagement

• Partner with HR to support talent development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Coordinate onboarding programs and employee integration activities.
• Drive location-wide projects such as employee events, community building, communication forums, and leadership networks.
• Foster a positive employee experience and strong site culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, HR, Economics, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in operations management, business support, PMO, transformation, shared services, business hubs, or project management.
• Experience in international and matrix organizations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multiple organizational levels.
• Proven experience in governance, organizational development, change management, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-growing environment.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
