Business Data Analyst - CDD 14 months

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst , you will act as a central partner within the Product and Data ecosystems, ensuring the accurate translation of business needs into functional requirements, strong collaboration with Product Owners, and high-quality delivery across analysis, testing, and documentation.
You will work closely with Business Units, Data Records Management teams, Data experts, and IT teams to support product evolutions, compliance with Group standards, and data-driven improvements.

Your main responsibilities include:

1. Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyze, and formalize business needs from Product Owners, Business stakeholders, and Data Records Management partners.

• Produce clear and complete functional documentation: requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows

• Ensure consistency of requirements across tools and domains, identifying dependencies and potential impacts.

• Collaborate closely with IT to clarify functional topics and ensure correct understanding of business expectations.

• Maintain updated documentation and ensure traceability throughout the lifecycle of enhancements and releases.

2 . Testing & Quality Assurance

• Define functional test scenarios and ensure proper coverage for evolutions and fixes.

• Execute testing activities: functional testing, regression testing, and support for UAT.

• Identify defects, document findings, analyze root causes, and follow up with delivery teams until resolution.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices and quality control standards.

3. Data, Compliance & Collaboration with Data Records Manager

• Support the documentation and understanding of data elements, business rules, quality requirements, and data flows.

• Work with Data Records Manager teams to ensure product features align with data lifecycle, retention, and compliance standards when required.

• Contribute to the integration of data governance rules into business processes or tools.

• Support the preparation of functional materials or evidence for audits or internal reviews.

4. Stakeholder Coordination & Support

• Contribute to the collaboration between Business, Product, Data teams, Data Records Management, and IT delivery teams.

• Provide regular updates on functional progress, clarifications, risks, and dependencies.

• Support change management by preparing communication materials, presentations, and user documentation.

• Participate in meetings, workshops, and transversal working groups as required.

5. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

• Proactively identify areas for improvement in functional processes, documentation, and delivery practices.

• Contribute to reinforcing a data-driven culture and promoting good practices in analysis, testing, and documentation.

• Participate in the refinement and adoption of internal standards and methodologies.

Profile required

• Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and excellent capacity for synthesis.

• High level of autonomy and reliability in handling functional topics from end to end.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive attitude in complex environments.

• Excellent communication skills in French & English

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and maintain constructive working relationships.

• Very good command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); willingness to learn domain-specific tools.

• Experience with process modeling, SQL, or data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) is considered a plus.

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data topics, Testing, or Product support, ideally within a financial or regulatory context.
