WebBeds

About WebBeds

Launched in 2013, WebBeds is a global marketplace for the travel trade, providing powerful distribution solutions that make selling and buying travel products easier. It sources accommodation and destination services from travel suppliers, aggregates and merchandises that content in the WebBeds platform, then distributes it to its global network of travel trade buyers, who sell to the travelling public.

Hotels and other suppliers - global and regional hotel chains, independent hotels, apartments, resorts, attractions, transfer and sightseeing companies and more - can sell their products to a global network of online and offline travel buyers through robust solutions that provide greater inventory control to simplify distribution, and leverage WebBeds enhanced analytics to inform inventory optimisation choices – saving costs and increasing revenue.

Travel buyers - online travel agencies, retail travel agents, corporate travel managers, tour operators, wholesalers, tourism boards, super apps, DMC’s, group providers, airlines and more - can integrate the hundreds of thousands of hotels and ground services in the WebBeds marketplace through simple and seamless API connectivity, or they can search, shop and book online through one of WebBeds trade only booking sites.

WebBeds operates globally through four geographic regions – Europe, Asia Pacific, MEA (Middle East and Africa) and Americas - with over 1,900 travel professionals working in 120 cities across 50 countries worldwide.

escalating risks early, supporting root-cause analysis and contributing to
process improvements that reduce repeat discrepancies and improve transaction

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Monitor and manage transaction quality alerts within Reconciler and future systems, ensuring alerts are reviewed, prioritised and resolved within agreed timelines.
  • Investigate booking, supplier, client, status, rate, cancellation, refund, commission, margin and data discrepancies to identify root causes, assess financial impact and determine corrective actions.
  • Take timely action to resolve discrepancies and prevent disputes, supplier charges, client complaints, margin erosion and business losses.
  • Proactively resolve transaction issues before they escalate into disputes, chargebacks, unrecoverable costs, client exposure or operational losses.
  • Maintain accurate evidence, case notes and financial impact records to support supplier recovery, dispute resolution, write-off reviews and management reporting.
  • Escalate material risks, recurring discrepancy patterns and unresolved issues requiring commercial, finance, product or technical intervention.
  • Engage directly with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders to validate discrepancies, obtain evidence, agree corrective actions and prevent repeat issues.
  • Collaborate with Finance Shared Services, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Commercial, Customer Service, Product, IT, Connectivity and Risk teams to resolve transaction quality issues end to end.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders, ensuring actions, ownership, deadlines and outcomes are documented and followed through.
  • Support supplier and client discussions using alert evidence, trend analysis and operational insight to minimise future financial exposure.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure alerts are categorised correctly by discrepancy type, financial impact, outcome and ownership.
  • Identify recurring data quality, system, supplier and client process issues, implementing sustainable preventative measures with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the maintenance of SOPs, reconciler rules, exception logic, escalation paths and audit trails to ensure consistent handling of transaction quality issues.
  • Contribute to transaction quality reporting by analysing alert volumes, financial impact, avoided losses, open items, false alerts and emerging risk trends.
  • Recommend process, reporting, rule and automation improvements to address recurring issues, system gaps, low-value activities and preventable losses.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase!

  • Experience in transaction quality, reconciliations, finance operations, supplier and client support, payments, disputes, chargebacks or similar operational control environments.
  • Strong understanding of alert management, discrepancy investigation, exception handling, root cause analysis, evidence gathering and dispute prevention.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to review transaction data, identify trends and support reporting on workload, quality, losses and avoided losses.
  • Confident using operational systems, workflow tools, reporting dashboards and Microsoft 365 applications to manage cases, document actions and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, apply sound judgement to operational scenarios, document outcomes clearly and escalate risks or unresolved issues appropriately.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify issues early, challenge discrepancies, follow through on actions and prevent avoidable losses.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work professionally with suppliers, clients and internal teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple alerts, competing priorities and follow-up actions while maintaining accuracy and control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, spot patterns and recommend practical process, supplier, client or system improvements.
