Lead Business Functional Analyst

Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

You will be part of the Tribe Workflow in Shared Application & Services (SAS) which develops and operates the central workflow platform of Deutsche Bank. Our holistic Business Process Management solutions support multiple thousands of business processes and process multiple hundred thousand cases daily.

We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Lead Business Functional Analyst to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex business solutions, acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams.

The successful candidate will drive strategic initiatives, optimize operational processes, and ensure that our technological solutions align perfectly with our evolving business objectives and deliver maximum value.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, fostering excellence in analysis, communication, and stakeholder management.

• Partner with senior business and technology leaders to define product vision, scope, and strategic priorities.

• Translate complex business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of business analysis activities across multiple initiatives or programs.

• Champion continuous improvement in business processes, tools, and analytical practices.

• Ensure alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and regulatory/compliance standards.

Skills

• Proven expertise in leading large-scale, complex business analysis and functional design initiatives.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all organizational levels.

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.

• In-depth knowledge of various methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and their practical application.

• Proficiency in business process modeling tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN).

• Solid understanding of technical architecture and software development lifecycle.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into actionable functional requirements.
