Senior VB.Net Engineer [hybrid] Bucharest / Cluj Napoca

We are seeking talented Senior VB.Net Engineer to join our team and contribute to Marsh Romania IT platforms.

As a Senior Application Developer (VB.Net and MSSQL) at Marsh, you will be responsible for the requirement collection, design, development, implementation, and support of the applications in scope. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work collaboratively in an extended team where a self-starter, delivery-focused attitude is highly appreciated.

We will count on you to:

• Ensure that solution requirements are gathered accurately, understood, and that all stakeholders have transparency on impact

• Design the new application features as per the requirements

• Perform functional testing of developed features.

• Work closely with your peers as a mechanism of continuous improvement

• Be an involved member of the MMC Technology community – contribute, collaborate, and learn

• Build strong relationships with product owners, solutions architects, analysts and pod leadership

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues

• Provide end-user support

• Recommend and execute code improvements based on current solutions

What you need to have:

• Strong experience in VB.Net and .Net framework, 2+ years of experience

• Strong experience with MS SQL (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers), 2+ years of experience

• The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment

• Strong Self-starter and involved squad contributor
